1. Confidence (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At times, Confidence manages to offer a decent piece of work, and it occasionally seems reasonably entertaining. However, the movie remains too derivative of other flicks and never gains a good sense of its own personality. This makes it only sporadically compelling. Starring Edward Burns, Dustin Hoffman. Lions Gate, $26.99, 9/16/2003.

2. Oz The Great And Powerful [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Oz the Great and Powerful won’t make anyone forget The Wizard of Oz, but it doesn’t try to replace the 1939 classic. Instead, it offers its own riff on the characters and situations, and it does so in a fun, creative manner. The Blu-ray boasts excellent picture and audio along with a decent batch of bonus materials. I remain disappointed we don’t find a

3. Constantine: Deluxe Edition (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Like many, I’d never heard of the Constantine character until this movie hit screens. I don’t know how the film compares with the comics on which it’s based, but the flick provides a pretty entertaining and intriguing experience on its own ... I recommend Constantine to those with a taste for dark comic book fare. Starring Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz. Fox

4. The Mummy [Blu-Ray] (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 14 years down the road, I continue to enjoy 1999’s The Mummy. While it reinvents no wheels, it delivers a fun, action-packed adventure. The Blu-ray presents good visuals along excellent audio and a solid selection of bonus materials. Both movie and Blu-ray satisfy. Starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz. Universal, $19.98, 7/8/2008.

5. Denial [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Based on a true event, Denial delivers a source story with great natural tension. Though depicted in an inconsistent manner, the movie nonetheless brings out enough of the inherent drama to make it worth a look. Starring Rachel Weisz, Timothy Spall. Universal, $22.98, 1/3/2017.

6. The Favourite [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A wry, sly take on the costume drama, The Favourite offers a clever and unusual effort. Cynical and darkly comedic, the movie benefits from its pervasively nasty attitude and its stellar trio of lead actors. Starring Olivia Colman, Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz. Fox, $34.99, 3/5/2019.

7. Definitely, Maybe (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I’ve seen worse chick flicks than Definitely, Maybe, but I’ve not seen many I’d call more forgettable. Despite a clever premise and some talented actors, the film provides a consistently dull, ordinary piece without much to entertain ... Nothing about this release stands out as notable, so I’d advise you to skip it. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Isla Fisher. U

8. The Bourne Legacy [4K UHD] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a movie, The Bourne Legacy seems to exist as a placeholder, an entry created to keep a franchise alive rather than to tell a new story. While it offers a competent action film, it never threatens to become anything more dynamic, so it becomes watchable but forgettable. Starring Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz. Universal, $22.98, 12/6/2016.
